Yesterday morning, both the 6th-grade choir and the high school show choir treated not only the elementary students but also the secondary students to a fantastic performance. This event provided a great opportunity for our elementary students to glimpse the possibilities awaiting them as they grow older and become part of such enriching experiences.

On Thursday, Ms. DeLang's Legal System class went to the Des Moines County Jail, for fun! We toured the whole facility and learned about life for jailers and the guards. It was truly an eye opening experience for everyone. Thank you Colter Levinson for the amazing tour.

Mrs. Messer's 6th-grade students have just finished reading the book "A Long Walk to Water" to support their understanding of how geography around the world can affect the culture of the people who live there. Through this book, students were led to an organization called Water for South Sudan, a nonprofit organization founded by the very character of the book, Salva Dut. In a week's worth of time, students raised over $5,000, which will allow for five wells to be established in different villages. The picture represents some of the 6th-grade students, but this was a whole-grade effort. A job well done to all involved!!! #MEPOPride

In conjunction with the Des Moines County Sheriff's Department, Mediapolis Schools conducted an intruder DRILL this morning. This was a drill to help improve the security and safety of our students.
