The following items are required for an active file:
A letter of application.
A current resume.
A completed application form (see below).
Credentials and transcripts sent by your college/university.
Evidence of teaching licensure (experienced teachers).
Complete files (items 1-5) will be retained for two years. Incomplete files will be discarded.
The Application Form
To apply for employment in the Mediapolis Community School District, simply click below to access the application. You may print the application, fill it in, and mail it with your letter of application, resume, and other materials. You must use Adobe Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Word.
Applicants with complete files will be screened according to established criteria for each position. An interview team will select the candidates for interviews. Generally, three (3) candidates will be contacted for interviews.
The Interview
Interviews generally consist of two parts:
The formal interview.
The tour of the school facility
The selected candidate will be offered the position, and their file will be presented to the Board of Education for approval at the next regularly scheduled meeting. After Board of Education action, all applicants will be notified by letter that the position has been filled.
